After the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, makes a play to take over the criminal underworld in Gotham. Aside from a Bat-signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got ours. Robert Pattinson cameo in «The Penguin.» In this short video, IMDb attempts to answer: Where the hell was Batman?. According to show creator Lauren LeFranc, Batman will not appear on the show. «I understand why people would want to get Batman or think that unless Batman is in the show or the movie, it doesn’t have the same impact. I think it’s different. Matt’s movies are through the lens of Batman, so when you’re up high, you’re looking down on the city. It’s a different perspective. With Oz, you’re on the streets of the city, you’re in the mess, the dirt and grime. He’s looking up and wanting to claw his way to the top.» The DC Studios logo is set in a rainy Gotham alley. Colin Farrell has done for the Penguin what Heath Ledger did for the Joker……… GAMECHANGER! MASTERPIECE! ICONIC !!I wouldn’t have believed it in this role, but Colin Farrell has just turned the performance of his career around with an incredible interpretation of the Penguin. This will go down in history the same way Heath Ledger’s Joker changed that character. If he doesn’t clean up for Best Actor at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and elsewhere, the producers and script won’t appreciate it. The writers and the incredible makeup team helped Colin Turin with this incredible performance that will be the hallmark of his career and the benchmark role for Penguin for the next 3 generations.
